Reborn Rags Co.™ is for the artists, makers, and mindful collectors who see beauty in the imperfect and magic in the repurposed. Those who believe in colorfully manifesting their wishes. With a love for raw textures, layered stories, and a bit of tattered glam rebellion, my artcycled pieces are made for fellow eco-chic, earth mamas who are bored with cookie cutter design. We see paint splatters as poetry and believe that our fashion and home adornments should be as wild and wonderful as we are. Around here, rips have power and sparkle has soul.

Hi! I’m Nell.

I am a mixed-media collage artist. For me, collage is a beautiful dance of artistic chaos. I create one of one wearable art fashion, home adornments and mixed-media art kits.

My journey to handcrafting began in the Bronx, New York when I was a little girl. Grandma Rowena raised me for a time. She was such a gifted seamstress. Grandma introduced me to sewing. Her beautiful black and gold antique Singer sewing machine fascinated me. She patiently taught me how to measure, cut and sew using all kinds of fabric. My heart gravitated to denim and textured cloth. Grandma not only instilled within my young psyche an adoration for making things, she also made sure I realized the importance of sharing and being a good person.
 Wanting to improve my work, I dove into a challenging yet amazing self-taught journey. I studied the intricate aspects of collage, textile art and graphic design.

I am dedicated to achieving harmony between producing art and maintaining a dedication to sustainability. I use vintage, thrifted and new materials. All thrifted finds are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Eco-friendly paints and supplies are a staple. Most shipping materials are reusable/recyclable.
 Note:  5% of all company profits will be split going to rainforesttrust.org and doctorswithoutborders.org. They are causes that I feel are worthy of recognition, appreciation and aid.
